Artists exhibiting include: Rita Duffy, Conor Walton, Douglas Hutton, Gay Brabazon, Trevor D’Arcey, Helen Sloan, Duncan Ross, Heather Allen, Michael Brown, Claire Falconer, Simon Carman, Paweł Kleszczewski, Joanne Behan, Diane Henshaw
Other events on the evening include:
- Readings by acclaimed writer Carlo Gebler, celebrated actress Orla Charlton and architect and poet John D Kelly.
- Music by harpist and singer Amy McAllister
- A Bloomsday Celebration
As our opening falls on the day following Bloomsday, we wanted to celebrate James Joyce’s Ulysses as part of our event.
Artist Gay Brabazon opened a pot of Quink ink and dipped into James Joyce’s famous novel. A small image emerged for each of the 18 episodes and like a scattering of wedding pence, they invite you the viewer to take what you can catch and perhaps use it to enter the great adventure that is Ulysses.
