Major Exhibition of Equine Art In New Unique Gallery For North West:

Exhibition: Friday 15th December – Monday 15th January

‘We Borrow Freedom’ includes the Irish premiere of the incredible work of Ripley, renowned Irish painter Dermot Seymour, artist in residence at The Curragh Racecourse John Fitzgerald and current commissioned sculptor for The Irish National Stud, Simon Carman. It also features rising star of Irish painting Laurence Riddell and will include the final sculpture made by celebrated artist Debi O’Hehir before her tragic passing in 2015.

Also exhibiting: Sarah Little, Steve Martin, Selma Makela, Sophia Harding, Heather Allen, Eileen Ferguson, Geraldine O’Reilly, Diane Henshaw, James Stopforth, Joan E Mallon, Pawel Kleszczewski, Andrea Etter, Susan Evans, Rachel Dubber, Douglas Hutton, John Mckie, Sharon Regan, Susan Mannion, Kathleen O’Leary, Lesley Cherry, Helen Bullock McFarland, Fiona Cawley.

The evening also featured a charity auction for Irish Injured Jockeys which includes a large signed framed photograph donated by Olympic Irish rider Cian O’Connor.

The exhibition was curated by Dr. Helen Sharp PhD who has worked as curator for the likes of The British Council, The Happy Days International Beckett Festival, The Wilde Weekend, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Catalyst Arts Belfast and has curated work including that of Grayson Perry, Tracey Emin, Henry Moore and Mark Wallinger.
