Having spent many years painting designs for commercial fabric screen printing, Brabazon parked the paintbrush and entered the Irish film business where she worked as an assistant director – the most notable film being James Joyce’s short story “The Dead” directed by John Huston.
In 2003 she returned to painting. Encouraged by receiving a site-specific commission for a BMW showroom along with Artists tax exemption, she turned professional in 2005.
Brabazon studied on the CEAD program at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, from 2008-2011. After graduation, the CEAD class of 2011formed the Art Collective INEX which exhibits annually. She has had three solo exhibitions, one of these being in the UK. Her work has been accepted in several open submission and group exhibitions.
She continues to sell her work directly to clients and through Ardmore Pottery and Gallery, Ardmore, Co.Waterford.
