John O’Donnell

John O’Donnell has been a Professional Artist all his life, selling his first piece to a neighbour at the age of 7 back in 1970. He has studied, lectured and exhibited his art all over the world. His formative years in Ireland in the 80s, introduced him to the techniques and the culture of art in Ireland, however his 30 years in Africa introduced him to how art is a documentary of society and how important it is to record this in all its colour . Returning to Ireland in 2018 was a wake up with, together with a global shutdown. Irish art had found its place and he was right in the middle of it.
